Tailing

Tailings are the materials discarded after the process of separating valuable materials from materials which are not worthy of an ore.


In the mining of coal and oil, said tailings refers specifically to a pure waste left in the water.

Gold Mine Case:
Tailings from the mining of gold minerals generally contain inert (inactive) such as quartz, calcite and various types of aluminosilicates, and normally still contains gold.
