Canada's main diamond producer names new President and COO
Canadian mining company Dominion Diamond (TSX:DDC), (NYSE:DDC) announced Monday the appointment of Chantal Lavoie as its new President and Chief Operating Officer.
Lavoie is a former Chief Operating Officer for De Beers' Canadian mining operations.
Dominion Diamond operates the Ekati Diamond Mine through its 80% ownership stake and also sells diamonds from its 40% ownership in the Diavik Diamond Mine, located in the Northwest Territories.
Dominion is the fourth largest diamond producer by value globally and the largest diamond mining company by market capitalization, listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges.
