Size "power shovel"
Large size / size of a "power shovel" is indicated by the size of the "dipper" expressed in cuyd (cubic yard).
Large / small power shovel that will be used on a job, the transfer of land to a mechanical or mining activities in addition to the
already mentioned in item 1a and 1b are also dependent and determined by:
a. Tub size truck capacity
If the capacity of a small truck tub, for example trucks 3 cu yd; better then using a power shovel ¾ cu yd; than power shovel 1 ½ cu yd.
Conversely, if the truck is used 15 cu yd; hence power shovel that is used is a size 2 ½ cu yd dipper (as such, if the power shovel serves primarily as a means of unloading).
b. If serves as the main power shovel excavator and dig results
then loaded into the truck tub, then for excavation in hard material, preferably selected large power shovels, and vice versa.

Based on the driving wheels, "power shovel" consists of:

. Way of working and the use of "power shovel
Operating limits work "power shovel" can be seen in Figure

i. conveyance to load (loading haul units)
ii. dispose of the material to the side (side casting)
iii. hoard to the top of the pile material (dumping onto spoil banks)
iv. hoard into the "hopper" (dumping into hoppers)
